Rossi was founded in 1932 by Pietro and Luisa Rossi when then began trading at 1 Marine parade, 37 High street and Western Esplanade in Southend. In the 1960's they built their factory in Lucy Road, Southend, which is still used today, to cope with the increasing demand for their ice cream.

Rossi's famous ice cream made from fresh milk, butter and double cream has won various awards over the years and although not owned by the original Rossi family anymore, it is still made to the same traditional recipe developed in 1932.
